Vegetable Pulao (For Mom & Baby 9+ Months)

This flavorful rice dish is a complete meal in itself. It’s packed with vegetables and can be customized to your liking. This flavorful rice dish with vegetables is a great way to introduce new tastes and textures.

Ingredients:
    • 1 cup Basmati rice
    • 1 inch cinnamon stick
    • 1 clove
    • 1 cup water or vegetable broth
    • 1/2 cup chopped vegetables (peas, carrots, cauliflower, etc.)
    • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
    • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • Pinch of turmeric powder
    • Salt to taste (optional, for mom only)
    • 1 bay leaf (optional)
Instructions:
    1. Rinse the rice and soak for 30 minutes.
    2. Heat ghee or oil in a pot.
    3. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, clove. and cook until fragrant.
    4. Once the cumin seeds splutter, add the chopped vegetables, bay leaf (optional) and saute for a couple of minutes.
    5. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot along with turmeric, and salt to taste (optional).
    6. Add water or broth, bring to a boil, then simmer until rice is cooked and fluffy.
    7. Serve warm.
