This savory pancake made with moong dal is a great source of protein and fiber. It’s easy to digest and can be customized with different spices and vegetables.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup moong dal (soaked for at least 4 hours)
- 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (spinach, carrots, or grated beetroot)
- 1/4 teaspoon chopped green chili (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
Instructions:
- Grind the soaked moong dal into a batter with a little water.
- Add chopped vegetables, green chili (optional), and salt to the batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of ghee or oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin circle.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt or chutney (for mom only).
